Printing Tips

1.Accessory Compatibility

  • Not Compatible with Cool Plate SuperTack, Hotend with Hardened Steel Nozzle 0.6 mm / 0.8 mm.

2.Gradient Effects

  • The gradient effect depends on the amount of filament used, which can be influenced by adjusting sparse infill density, print quantity, or the filament spool starting point.
  • Each color segment in Bambu PLA Silk Gradient spans approximately 20m (65g+).
  • Using 40m (125g+) of filament guarantees at least one two-color transition.
  • For four-color transitions (e.g., Bambu PLA Gradient – Dawn Radiance), using 80m (250g+) or more ensures the full effect.

3.Printing Tips

  • It's strongly recommended to reduce the outer wall speed to 40 mm/s to optimize print quality.
  • When printing with PLA Silk Dual Color filament, there is a small chance of filament rotation, potentially causing uneven color transitions. The A-series printers have a higher risk due to their special structure, so use of this filament with A-series printers is not recommended.

4.Drying Recommendations

  • Although PLA Silk Multi-Color is thoroughly dried and vacuum-sealed prior to shipping, variations in transport conditions may affect its moisture level. We strongly recommend drying it right after opening and storing it in a sealed container with desiccant or AMS. Repeat drying and moisture-proofing before each long-term storage period.
  • Dry before use to ensure the best print quality and consistent finish. Store in a dry environment after use. For more details, please refer to the filament drying instructions on WIKI.

5.Safety Tips

  • Please store the filament in a cool, dark, and dry environment away from direct sunlight and high temperatures.
  • Please keep filament and any broken fragments out of reach of infants, children, and pets to prevent swallowing or choking.
  • For opened filament, we recommend drying before use according to the wiki’s recommended temperature and time settings.
  • Please print this filament in a well-ventilated area, or install an effective air filtration or exhaust system.
  • As this filament is not food-grade, please avoid using finished prints for food storage or contact.
